I've been busy OK? But I do want to take the time out to let you know what a horrible place Teds Bulletin's is . Where do I begin??? Let me start by saying that the homemade pop tarts (which are their claime to fame) are the greasiest nastiest mess I have ever laid my lips on.  The amount of shortening  in that thing is illegal! And not tho mention they are cold and under cooked! last time I checked pop tarts are eaten toasty and warm... No??  So asked to them to toast it and they nuked it YUK!! And the fillings are no better.  But I'm getting ahead of my self. Let me go back to the moment we entered the place, it felt like a freezer in that joint. The hostess was nice and mentioned that she is on the verge of catching pneumonia and that we should sit somewhere where we would not catch it. So we sat at the bar where it was the North Pole. So when I asked the manager why we had to freeze up in this Mickey Flick, he gave me the Kanye shrug and offered me a scarf. WTH?? Where in the back of that kitchen are they knitting scarfs??? Or did this man really think he was going to dig in the lost & found and hand me a stinky scarf that I then would warp around myself, my son, my husband and the hostess??? So then Mo and Papi's food comes out cold, and mine with a lock of Rapunzel's hair. But not until after my family had eaten had my food (with the side of hair) made it to the table. So much for us eating dinner together! Let me take that back so much for me eating dinner.

I know that everybody, I mean everybody loves bread. But I will say that being from Europe I am extremely critical of bread (OH hell I'm critical of everything I eat). And I don't mean that prepackaged space bread that is square in shape. But REAL bread, crusty and tan on the outside and light and airy and soft on the inside.  I used to make bread often in the past when my mom used to visit. But I stopped for some reason. But I'm back at it! and let me tell you why. Because the "artisan breads" (as they call it ) are $6 dam dollars that's why! I mean what are these crazy foodies thinking to pay that much for something that cost about a $1 to make at home and takes only 5mins!!!That ish Cray!!! As Kanye would say! So here is mine that I made last night and hit me up if you want to know how to make it! PS: I am never buying bread again!

So when I was about 22 I wanted to start my own business. I've always been a great cook (apparently I inherited it from several great cooks in my family) and people have always raved about the food I made. So naturally I wanted to do something with my talents. But of course I could not afford to open up my own restaurant, and the thing that came to mind was: why not get a food truck? But I was young and broke (I still am... broke that is NOT young) and long story short although I went through all the planning, research and even applied for a license. I wasn’t able to pull it off  :( But it always stayed in the attic space of my mind and I always hoped to really make it happen someday. So now that I have bored you all to death with my story. You will come to understand my total and complete obsession with the recent food truck craze that has hit our city! I will admit that it is partly jealousy that these suckers stole MY idea of gourmet food on a truck... Ughhh!! But mostly I love food as all you do, and love all the tasty options. Go and check some out for yourselves and tell me how you like them.  And you can start this Cinco de Mayo when the DC Food Truck Association is holding Curbside Cookoff: Trucko De Mayo at RFK stadium!  Open from 11:30am-9pm in lot #3 (closest to the Metro station), this Curbside Cookoff features free admission, free parking, live music, two bars, and more than 40 food trucks.

Also here is the best way to find them: http://foodtruckfiesta.com/
